Hair Length: Short
My name is Scarlett, and as you can see, I am a spectacular tortie! My coloring is a bit unusual for a tortoiseshell, being primarily black with splotches of peach and orange. Fun fact: Tortoiseshell (and calico) cats are almost exclusively female; males do exist but are exceedingly rare.
I LOVE people, and I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as too much human affection. I bask in attention, and when I’m happy, everyone in the vicinity knows it because my purr is so intense! If I’m unsure about something, I will look for human assurance that all is well.
I came to the shelter as an owner surrender. It seems that I was an only cat in my prior home, as I am not a big fan of sharing space (or things, or people) with other cats. However, I choose not to be a slave to my displeasures, so in the spirit of c’est la vie, I am willing to compromise and coexist! I would thrive in a home as an only kitty, or with one or possibly two other mild-mannered cats. I might even get along with a low-key dog. I am good with teenagers and older, but no toddlers or young children, please.
If you think I would be a good fit for your home, please make a reservation to come meet me at the Java Cats Café Meowietta cat lounge! I have been spayed and microchipped and am up to date on all my vaccinations.
